Can you proof this?: Review: Times of Grace - Hymn... →
Originally, I was going to post a review of my own, but I honestly could not have said it any better. Fucking journalist friends. “Strength in Numbers” is the best metal track I’ve heard in a long time and this album is solid and fantastic. I must, however, comment that the album cover/sleeve looks like some type of inspirational self-help CD. But that doesn’t take away...

Things I Learned In Europe
For those of you who don’t know, my wife and I took our honeymoon to the Mediterranean a few weeks back. It was a 12-day cruise, and it was fantastic. It was the perfect break from the day-to-day grind, and even now I feel that I was fully rehabilitated and have no issues with being back to work and whatnot. But, I did manage to pick up some wonderful tidbits of knowledge while I was...

Kory's Metal Music News Update: January '11
Well this should be a great year for the metal scene. 2010 was a solid year, here’s hoping to keep it up over the next 12 months. Here’s what’s going on in music that I care about: - Mike Portnoy, former Dream Theater drummer, is left without a band currently, as when Avenged Sevenfold dropped him off after their last tour he attempted to reconcile with his DT bandmates, to...

Day Ten: One confession.
Ooh, potential for something juicy to throw on the masses. Well I think the best I’ve got is that I would sell out in a heartbeat if it meant making a ton of money. If I was offered a spot in some awful emo-pop band that was set to top the charts within a year, I’d probably do it. If I found some job at a pharmaceutical company that offered me bank to throw away my every passionate...

Day Nine: Two smileys that describe your life...
1. :-) Pretty content and happy with life right now. It’s hectic getting back into the grind, but the cruise absolutely helped relieve some of the day-to-day monotony. 2. :-/ Concerned for what comes next. Still kind of want to move on from my current job, but it’s too secure to want to jump into something at the moment. We’ll see.

Day Eight: Three Turn-Ons.
1. Nice eyes. Kind of lame to say, but I am a sucker for beautiful blue eyes. 2. An Australian accent. I know this is specific and weird, but for some reason, that is a major turn-on for me. Shut up. And I don’t mean like that fucking girl from Transformers, she was fake and annoying. 3. And I know I’ll be smacked by the wife for posting this one here, but I must be honest, I love a...

Day Seven: Four turn-offs.
1. Smoking. 2. Excessive jealousy. Like, deleting other girls’ phone numbers in your phone because they think you’re gonna cheat on them. I’ve seen that happen. 3. Excessive stupidity, or at least a complete ignorance for the way the world works. 4. Those spoiled, rich-bitch, “daddy’s girl” types. Can’t stand that.

Movie Review: Devil
Gonna keep this one short and sweet. Remind me to stop watching M. Night Shyamalan’s movies. I understand the movie is called “Devil”, but was it necessary to give away the ending at the beginning of the movie? There were several plot points that were entirely unnecessary, the twist was stupid and you completely saw it coming, and anything that should have been startling was...

Weird Dream
Last night, I had a dream that I was being pulled over by a Howell cop. On the corner of Aldrich and Route 9. You all know the one. And he accused me of speeding, “doing 35 in a 5”. Yes, I was just as confused in the dream. But then I woke up. I felt like sharing this for some reason.

Day Six: Five people who mean a lot (in no order...
1. My wife means the world to me. We have had our share of problems, like all couples, but in the end, this life would mean nothing without her. My rock, my life support, my *insert any romantic cliché here*, I would be nowhere without her. 2. My closest friends mean everything to me. The good times, the great times, nothing compares to the fun I’ve had over the years. I can’t say I...

Day Five: Six things you wish you’d never done.
6 more minutes! 1. I wish I’d not finished that bottle of Goldschlager that one night. The next morning was possibly the most embarrassing of my life. 2. I wish I’d not skipped my graduation walk from OCC. 3. I wish I’d not taken early exit from high school to work that last semester. 4. I wish I’d not put $3000 of work into my first car (it broke 3 days later, for...

Day Four: Seven things that cross your mind a lot.
This is a great way to kill the approximate 13 minutes my cruise pictures will take to upload! 1. “I need new music.” 2. “I hope my car doesn’t break.” 3. “I’m hungry.” (by this point in this post I feel like a Sims character) 4. “How can I make large sums of legitimate money easily?” 5. “I need to start dieting and...
